“Joining FWCC has been a transformative experience for me.

Before joining, I was just training by myself, and hence my workouts lacked consistency and a clear direction. However, after joining FWCC, the structured training sessions provided gave me a clear and disciplined routine to follow, allowing me to train more efficiently and with purpose.

Moreover, Coach Fabian and Coach Dillion consistently provided constructive encouragement and clear guidance, helping me correct my form, refine my pacing, and believe in my potential. Their encouragement didn’t just improve my performance; it significantly boosted my confidence, both as an athlete and as an individual.

One of the most rewarding outcomes of this journey was achieving a personal best of 26.43.15 in the 5000m racewalk, and although it was not an ideal milestone I was striving towards, it was still a testament to the progress made from joining FWCC, as I was still able to hit a PB under unideal circumstances. The guidance of experienced coaches and the camaraderie of training alongside other dedicated athletes pushed me to constantly improve and challenge myself.

Being part of a supportive community not only made the tough sessions more enjoyable but also gave me access to valuable feedback, pacing strategies, and motivation. FWCC helped me grow both physically and mentally as an athlete, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunities it has provided.

The most impactful aspect of my training experience is the unique workouts that they give. Unlike what I usually did, they incorporated unconventional workouts like running to build my aerobic base and also a lot of speed workouts to improve my anaerobic, which I lacked a lot. Furthermore, the personalised coaching and workout programs made a huge difference, as not every athlete functions the same, and this helped me improve my weaknesses more effectively.

I joined FWCC with the intention of winning the A division 5000m racewalk, but although I only managed to get 2nd place, I still believe that setting a personal best, even in difficult circumstances of returning from illness, speaks volumes about the progress in performances since joining FWCC. Pushing through physical setbacks and still managing to perform at that level shows how much stronger and more resilient I’ve become since joining FWCC."
