The seeds for Run To Inspire were sown back in 2004. Our founder, Fabian William, saw how a lack of opportunity was preventing talented youth from certain demographics from ever realising their potential. Driven by a desire to give back to the community, he created this program to level the playing field for those who have the talent but lack the support to nurture it. Using athletics, a familiar and powerful space for Fabian and his team, RTI was established to provide that crucial support system.
More Than Just a Race
RTI is a long-term mentorship program providing a sustained pathway for primary and secondary school students on government financial assistance schemes. We believe that true success is about more than just winning medals. This project aims to help athletes answer the critical question: "After the gold medal, what’s next?"
What began with Fabian has expanded into a holistic, multidimensional program that aims to:
Nurture Character: We focus on instilling resilience, discipline, and long-term personal growth.
Develop Responsible Individuals: The goal is to develop not just competitive athletes, but also respectful and community-minded citizens.
Elevate Lives Beyond Sports: Through FWCC and our network of partners, we provide access to opportunities that open doors for our participants far beyond the running track.
Create a Cycle of Mentorship: Our ultimate vision is for graduates to return as role models, inspiring and guiding future participants.
The program remains completely free for all participants and covers all essential costs, including professional coaching, training attire, competition fees, and mentorship activities. The initial intake will be a small cohort of 8 students to ensure personalised, high-quality training and care.
